Best Mac data recovery software?

Hi there,
I’ve been poking around for data recovery software for the mac. I have a hard drive which has a corrupted file system. (I’m a computer technician, but i’m doing this for a mate of mine, and I don’t normally deal with macs) Its a mac drive, so i’m assuming that I will need software for the mac, unless there is software that runs under windows that I can use. I’ve been poking around, but data recovery software for the mac looks pretty dead. Does anyone on here know of any good software titles that are effective? (preferably recover some of the files system too, RAW recovery is not preferred)

    I have a good experience on stellar phoenix Mac data recovery software, I had used this software when my Mac book get infected with virus attack and all the drives are empty with this attack, nothing to see in all the drives. One of my friend suggest me to use this software, I tried trial version first because of precaution, once I saw all the lost files and folders in the preview I go for buy. When I purchase this software the cost of the software was $139 but now price is pretty low as compare to past, now its about $99.     I’ve used a large number of data recovery products for the Mac and found that SubRosaSoft.com Inc’s FileSalvage has the highest recovery rate. Supports the most file formats and also has an option to add your own file formats by giving it examples of the file type and it learns how to recover those files too.
